Jabra Elite 75t vs Apple AirPods Pro – My Honest Review

Posted on 7 July, 2020 Written by Dave Doggett Leave a Comment

This is my honest personal review of both the Jabra Elite 75t Wireless Earbuds and Apple AirPods Pro.

In summary:

Jabra Elite 75t

  • More solid case
  • Slightly better sound
  • Fall out of my ears easily/Hard to tell if they are in the right position
  • Sometimes disconnects for a second
  • Comes with USB to USB-c cable
  • Could be considered more elegant
  • Connects to 2 devices simultaneously

Apple AirPods Pro

  • Better fit, less likely to fall out/Easy to tell they are in the right position
  • Feel better in my ears
  • Comes with USB-c to lightning (8 pin) cable
  • Only comes in white
  • Doesn’t connect to multiple devices simultaneously by default

Overall, my choice would have been the Jabra Elite 75t except for the fact that they would not stay in my ears, so I ultimately settled on the Apple AirPods Pro.

Disney Circle Review – Protect Your Home Internet

Posted on 4 April, 2019 Written by Dave Doggett Leave a Comment

I feel that we are a relatively normal family by todays standards. A house that has WAY too many electronic devices, devices that are all connected to an unfiltered Internet that is unfortunately polluted with a plethora of content unsuitable for children (and sometimes even for adults!).

Normal children are wired to constantly test limits. As parents, we know all too well how much our children like to test the limits that we as parents put in place. The problem is, when it comes to the Internet and the devices that our children have regular access to, if we don’t have the tools in place for online safety, we simply can’t protect them from potential harmful content and/or experiences.

Introducing Circle by Disney, the Internet safety tool we had been looking for!

Without installing any software or apps on any computers or devices, you can easily:

– Filter inappropriate content
– Pause the Internet
– Set Internet Time Limits
– Disable the Internet at bedtime
– Block specific apps
– And award screen time rewards

While we have not tried any other Internet protection tools, we can’t speak highly enough about the Circle by Disney.

Here is an in depth video review I recently uploaded to YouTube.

Screenflow 6 Review (New Features)

Posted on 1 June, 2016 Written by Dave Doggett 2 Comments

While I was slow on the draw to upgrade to Screenflow 5 from Screenflow 4.5, I believe I was one of the first people to upgrade from version 5 to the latest release, version 6 (as of June 1, 2016).

I’ve been a huge fan of Screenflow for several years now, and use it to produce basic to intermediate video projects, video tutorials and overviews, and it is even my software of choice for editing all of my podcast episodes.

Below you will find a video (yes, created with Screenflow 6) where I review version 6 and give my 2 cents on the new features.

If you enjoy this article and video product review, please leave a brief comment and/or share it on social media.

If you would like to download a free trial of Screenflow 6 or upgrade, click here.

Thanks.

Blue Snowball Microphone vs. Audio Technica ATR 2100 Microphone Comparison

Posted on 3 February, 2013 Written by Dave Doggett 6 Comments

This is my personal review and demonstration of the Blue Snowball and Audio Technica ATR2100 microphones. For product links, see the links below the YouTube video.  I have owned the Blue Snowball microphone for a number of years and have been very pleased with it.  After developing an interest in Podcasting recently, I decided that the quality of my audio should be slightly improved and that was when I discovered the Audio Technica ATR 2100 microphone.  For it’s price, it rivals other microphones that cost $300 and the difference in sound quality is almost nill.  Watch my video, listen to the audio samples, and decide for yourself.

In this video I demonstrate the Blue Microphones Snowball USB microphone and compare it to my Audio Technica ATR 2100 microphone using it’s XLR connection into my M-Audio Fast Track audio interface on my iMac using GarageBand.
